華府台灣產業科技推動協會年會
2004 Annual Meeting
Keynote Topic:  The Current Development of Twin-Nets Program in Taiwan

By Dr. H.T. Kung, IT Professor, Harvard University

Hunan Palace Restaurant, Gaithersburg, MD 20877

Saturday June 5, 2004

Dear TASTA Members,

We are happy that TASTA has moved forward past the second year of age.  During this year, we have organized two seminars, sponsored one successful Tour to visit Taiwan’s Science-based Industrial Parks, and are actively co-sponsoring an important Nanotechnology Workshop from July 14 to 17, 2004, at the Monterey Conference Center, California.  In several gatherings, TASTA representatives participated in exchanging views with representatives from the U.S. and Taiwanese business communities.  Detailed reports will be presented and distributed among the members in the annual meeting.

Since the preparation and sponsoring of the nanotechnology workshop have been an important undertaking of the TASTA Board and Executive Team, TASTA Board decides not to organize a large annual conference as what we successfully did right after our last year’s annual meeting, instead we are calling for an annual meeting only.  TASTA‘s Board has decided to hold our annual meeting with all membership body in the afternoon of June 5, 2004, at the Hunan Palace Restaurant.  Please refer to the attached agenda.

My Best Regards,

Liu-Hsiung Chuang(莊六雄)
