北美洲臺灣人教授協會巴爾的摩-華府分會 (NATPA Baltimore/DC Chapter) 與華府台灣產業科技協會 (TASTA)春季聯合研討會

 

北美洲臺灣人教授協會巴爾的摩-華府分會 (NATPA Baltimore/DC Chapter) 與華府台灣產業科技協會 (TASTA) 將於三月二十日 (星期六) 舉辦2010年迎新餐敘及春季聯合研討會。時間是上午十一點到下午五點，地點是台灣駐美代表處文化中心 (901 Wind River Lane，Gaithersburg，MD 20878)。

上午十一點至下午一點是本次會議的第一階段，由北美臺灣人教授協會巴爾的摩-華府分會於研討會前舉行開春迎新活動。活動內容包含介紹新年度會務及新舊會員相互交流，並特地邀請前駐美代表魯肇忠先生與會。魯肇忠代表除與會員交流、餐敘之外，也將發表其對臺灣現況與未來的分析與展望。

下午一點至下午五點是本次會議的第二階段，由華府台灣產業科技協會、北美臺灣人教授協會巴爾的摩-華府分會共同主持2010年春季研討會。本次研討會主題是「健保改革與綠色能源科技 (Healthcare Reform and Green Energy Technology) 」。  

「健保改革」講座由教授協會巴爾的摩-華府分會會長劉耀經博士主持，講員陣容及講題包括： NIH資深疫苗科學家劉德勇博士主講「2009年 H1N1 流感病毒 (The 2009 H1N1 Influenza)」，DrFirst 公司Chief Technical Officer 王介山博士主講「健康醫療資訊整合 (Health Informatics Integration)」，以及 Taskco Corporation 總裁黃光彩博士主講「醫療資訊及臨床研究產業的潛力 –台灣的前景 (Medical Informatics and Potential of Clinical Research Industry -- Taiwan Perspective)」。 

 

「綠色能源科技」講座由教授協會巴爾的摩-華府分會副會長丁弘彬教授主持，講員及講題包括：Helios Energy Systems 公司經理 Andrew Lai 先生主講「太陽能科技之發展現況  (Recent Development of Solar Energy Technology)」，最後由美國前海軍工程處處長吳漢南博士主講「風能開發之條件  (Prerequisite for Wind Power Technology Development)」。

 TASTA舉辦2009年年會  改選理監事 

華府台灣產業科技推動協會 (Taiwanese American Science and Technology Association) 於今年七月十八日，週六下午於台灣駐美文化中心，舉辦2009年年會，並於年會結束後，進行理監事改選。

今年年會的主題是「美台生化科技與經濟的發展」。約計有近百名對科技有認知及專家共聚一堂，共同研討學習。開場部分由會長林英侯博士主持，說明協會立會宗旨及願景，並介紹兩位特別來賓:馬里蘭生物技術中心主任 Dr. Lawrence Mahan 及科技組組長張新雄博士。科技組組長張新雄博士並為本次年會做正式的開幕致詞。

2009 TASTA Annual Conference PDF Print E-mail

Taiwanese American Science and Technology Association (TASTA) held the 2009 annual conference on Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 1:30PM to 5:30PM at the Conference Room, The Culture Center of TECRO, 901 Wind River Lane, Gaithersburg, MD 20878.   The conference theme is "US-Taiwan Bio-Technology and Economic Development”. TASTA's mission is to promote cooperation between the U.S. and Taiwan in Science, Technology and Industry.  We have invited several distinguished speakers (Mr. Benjamin Wu, Former U.S. Department of Commerce, Assistant Secretary of Technology Administration, and others) from Taiwan and US, to share with the conference participants of their experiences and perspectives on technology issues between US and Taiwan.
