Become a member of TASTA: click on the link to download the membership application form (In Word format.) or in PDF The purposes of the Association are: (1) To promote science and technology research and developments in Taiwan and the United States; (2) To sponsor science and technology researches and education in Taiwan and the United States; (3) To further the general welfare of the science and technology communities in Taiwan and the United States; and (4) To promote educational and cultural contacts between Taiwan and the United States. More specifically, the Association is organized for the following purposes in Taiwan and the United States to: (1) Assist industries developing and acquiring new technologies; (2) Promote investments in high technology industries;
(3) Sponsor symposia on science and technology;
(4) Engage educating and training technology professionals;
(5) Organize and provide volunteer opportunities for technology professionals;
(6) Promote harmony between technologies, social development and ethics;
(7) Assist developing high-tech laws and policies;
(8) Promote basic science researches;
(9) Engage in any and all activities consistent with or in furtherance of the above purposes.
為響應『台灣產業科技推動協會』之結合認同台灣優先人士、共同致力於台灣產業科技與國際地位之提昇，旅居美國華府地區三十七位專業同鄉議決成立『華府台灣產業科技推動協會』，於2002年5月4日舉行成立大會。除全體與會外，並有當時台灣駐美副代表蔡明憲博士及科技組組長陳燿南博士到場祝賀。並於5月26日全美台灣同鄉會會員大會上，報告本會成立因由，獲得與會同鄉一致鼓勵。
本會為一『非營利組織』，宗旨為致力於結合台美人與美國友好人士共同促進美、台產業科技交流與合作，臻于台灣產業之升級；加強企業經營國際化與產業認同本土化，致使產業科技與人文倫理和諧、經濟與社會朝向永續發展邁進。
本會工作要點：提供與協助台灣企業國際投資資訊之搜集、新技術及人才之引進，介紹關鍵性產業科技，成立科技志工團隊，舉辦產業科技研討會及座談會。 |
